October 11, 1952 - Palmerton collects over 300 yards of offense as the Blue Bombers gain a 20-6 Lehigh Valley League victory over Catasauqua. Eddie Shiner completes three passes for 70 yards on Palmerton’s first scoring drive, which comes late in the first half. Two of the tosses, including an 18-yarder that results in a touchdown, are caught by Stan Mesares. The winners, coached by Joe Foran, double their lead in the third quarter. Ronnie Christman’s 41-yard scamper sets up his 4-yard TD run. After the Roughies tally in the fourth frame, Palmerton’s Steve Sebo returns an interception 30 yards for the game’s final score.
