Eddie Shiner completes three passes for 70 yards on Palmerton’s first scoring drive, which comes late in the first half. Two of the tosses, including an 18-yarder that results in a touchdown, are caught by Stan Mesares. The winners, coached by Joe Foran, double their lead in the third quarter. Ronnie Christman’s 41-yard scamper sets up his 4-yard TD run. After the Roughies tally in the fourth frame, Palmerton’s Steve Sebo returns an interception 30 yards for the game’s final score.
