October 9, 1987 - Lehighton’s Clayton “Skimmer” Andrews carries nine times for 104 yards and a touchdown to not only lead the Indians to a 40-0 Centennial League victory over Palmerton, but also break the school record for rushing yards in a career. Andrews, who opens the scoring with a 51-yard scoring run in the opening quarter, passes the mark of 2,007 set by “Jake” Boyer. Mike McGeehan adds 101 yards on eight attempts, with the bulk of his yards coming on a 75-yard TD. Kevin Tracey adds two touchdown runs and Kevin Hahn one for Lehighton, coached by Dave Parsons, while Dan Bowman also tosses an 11-yard scoring pass to Steve Williams.
