DUI/Drug cases

Area police report on the following driving under the influence and drug charges:

Schuylkill Haven

• A 28-year-old Tamaqua woman is facing charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop conducted by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks at 8:53 p.m. Sept. 28.

Police said they stopped her for an equipment violation while driving a 2001 Buick Century at Nichols Street and Mill Creek Avenue in Pottsville. Police said she had drugs and paraphernalia.

• Police said two people are facing charges after a traffic stop they made at 11:43 p.m. Sept. 26 on North Second Street in Pottsville.

Police said one was a 29-year-old woman from Shenandoah.

Police said the driver of the 2005 Mazda was found to have an active warrant out and was transported to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville. Through further investigation, police said, a passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

• On Sept. 10 at 8:17 p.m., troopers said a crash occurred along Summer Hill Road in Wayne Township, involving a 2017 Mazda CX-5. The driver, Megan Rabuck, 35, of Auburn, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. No one was injured and the vehicle had to be towed. Rabuck was charged with DUI.

• On Oct. 1 at 1:51 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2001 Toyota Echo at New Street and Seltzer Road in Norwegian Township. The driver, Kristen Moyer, 37, of Pottsville, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The investigation is continuing.

Area state police

• State police at Fogelsville said a 26-year-old Slatedale man will have drug possession charges filed against him after an incident at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 19.

Police said they were summoned to 6750 KOA Drive, Lowhill Township, for a report of suspicious items found in a cabin. A cleaning crew member found drug paraphernalia inside cabin No. 1 that had been rented to a man and a woman.

Police said attempts to locate the two were unsuccessful and a search warrant was obtained to enter the cabin where they seized the drug paraphernalia.

• William Stock, 65, of Saint Clair, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop made by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks at 1:40 a.m. Sept. 22 at North Mill and East Franklin streets in Saint Clair.

Police said after stopping the 2008 BMW they found Stock to be visibly impaired.

• A Slatington driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following an incident on Sept. 5 at 8:29 p.m.

State police at Bethlehem said a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was stopped at Sunset Road and Route 309, in Heidelberg Township, in Lehigh County, for a traffic violation. The driver, Alicia Stoner, 24, was found to be smoking marijuana while driving.

She was taken into custody and charged with DUI.
