Adult Day Care

The Board of Directors of the Tamaqua Area Adult Day Care Center met recently. Two staff members participated in the 2021 Carbon County Senior Expo at the Franklin Township Fire Company. The center continues to follow the state recommendation for COVID-19. Our client list is growing.

Unfortunately, Miners Hospital Cafeteria, which supplies Tamaqua Meals on Wheels, does not have the capacity to provide our center with daily meals. We continue to rely on Preferred Meals. We are hopeful once things settle from the pandemic Tamaqua Meals on Wheels will become our daily provider.

The center has scheduled an open house for Oct. 17, 1-4 p.m. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Please plan to stop by and see what our facility offers in adult care. The center is proud to become the 16th agency to join the Schuylkill United Way.

Those who ordered Joe Corbi pizza can pick up the order on Oct. 13 after 2 p.m. The center is planning a Deppen Pie Sale for Thanksgiving. Details at a later date. If you have an adult needing daily care, call the center at 570-668-6556 for information or stop by on Oct. 17. Our address is 801 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.
