The Concourse Club announces the return of their Basket Spectacular on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the St. John’s Towamensing Lutheran Church on Fireline Road.
This event is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year with over 50 gift baskets, each valued at over $35, to be raffled. A large selection of soups and lunch fare for eat-in or take out will be available for purchase, as well as a bake sale of delicious homemade goodies. The club’s nine-bean soup mix will also be for sale.
“We are so excited to host this event after having to cancel last year,” says event chairperson, Marci Lesko. All of the proceeds from the event are donated back to local nonprofit organizations.
Lesko said, “Last year was extremely difficult for all nonprofit groups. We chose to move our event from its traditional spring time-frame in an effort to assist these groups in their return to helping our community.”
Each ticket offers 25 chances to win, as well as a chance for the $200 cash door prize. The prize drawings will be held immediately following the close of the event. If not present, winners will be contacted by phone about picking up their basket.
