October 7, 2005 - Playing in a rainstorm, Pleasant Valley comes up with a defensive touchdown against Pocono Mountain West to gain a 7-0 Mountain Valley Conference victory. After a scoreless first half, the Bears get on the board late in the third quarter when Panther quarterback Brian Reed is sacked at the 2-yard line and fumbles. A number of players attempt to dive on the ball, only to have it slip out of their grasp. PV’s John Peleschak eventually recovers the loose ball in the end zone for the game’s only tally. The Bears, coached by Mike Falcone, do receive 83 rushing yards from Dan Hinnerschitz, and 78 from Kyle Bonser.
