It has been a challenging couple of years. Andreas Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning thinks it is the perfect time to give away a brand-new heating system. You can help Team Andreas make lives better, easier and warmer this winter by giving the “gift of warmth” and nominating a deserving individual or family in need. The entry period runs Oct. 1-31 at AndreasPlumbing.com.

Making a difference in someone’s life can take just a few minutes. It’s as simple as writing a short essay or making a short video from the heart and entering your nominee. You can nominate anyone who is experiencing tough financial times, an illness in the family and multiple medical bills, or a job loss. A senior on a fixed income, a U.S. veteran or single parent with children are also eligible. A nominee must be a legal adult, a Pennsylvania resident and a homeowner. You may not nominate yourself.

Andreas Plumbing’s co-owner Danielle Andreas said, “The last time we had given someone the ‘gift of warmth’ was in 2017. We remember being so overwhelmed by the positive response, the number of entries, their personal stories and the winner’s gratitude. There was not a dry eye in the room during the judging process and on award day! It was truly a life-changing experience for all of us! So much so, even some of our customers have asked us to bring back the giveaway this year.”

She adds, “We are a family-oriented company, and it has always been our mission to give back to our community. There are so many people who have been financially impacted by COVID-19, and the holidays are also right around the corner. We could not think of a better time to do this again. We all know someone who is facing some kind of challenge right now and praying and wishing for some type of assistance and hope. By entering your nominee(s) in this giveaway, you are helping us to make lives better and wishes possible.”

Enter your nominees at andreasplumbing.com from Oct. 1-31. Complete the entry form and include either a 500-word essay or a YouTube or Vimeo video URL address of your 3-minute video essay. The essay should be a compelling, true story of why the nominee deserves a new heating system. Please refer to the official rules posted on the “gift of warmth” webpage for judging criteria and additional information.

Submitted entries that do not follow the giveaway guidelines will be disqualified. Limit is one entry per nominee. Submissions will be reviewed by a judging committee consisting of local business and nonprofit professionals. Finalists will be chosen by the committee and will advance to the final round of personal interviews with the candidates conducted by the owners of Andreas Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning.

The winner will be notified on Nov. 12 and announced on Nov. 15.
