State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Monroe County roadways.
• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:17 p.m. on Sept. 10 along Toll Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Travis W. McCallen, 28, of Effort, was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the double yellow line, went onto the berm and struck a utility pole on the south shoulder.
McCallen was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed. He was cited for the crash.
• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 9:44 p.m. on Sept. 3 along Route 715 in Jackson Township. Troopers said Joseph W. Radzierez, 56, of Effort, was driving a 2004 Mazda B4 when it left the road and crashed into a ditch.
Radzierez was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed. He was cited for the crash.
• A deer was the cause of a one-vehicle crash which occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 along Strawberry Road in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, in which the driver is facing charges.
State police at Stroudsburg said Brian S. Forte, 41, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2005 Subaru Forester northbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. He swerved his vehicle to avoid the animal. The vehicle left the road and crashed. Troopers said Forte then fled the scene without reporting the crash. He was cited for the crash.
