MEDI program to help seniors with Medicare

The Carbon County Area Agency on Aging will hold annual Medicare Open Enrollment Sessions throughout the county during the open enrollment period.

MEDI program sessions, which were formerly the APPRISE Program, will be held at the following locations.

• Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and Dec. 6: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Lehighton Senior Center, 243 S. Eighth St., Lehighton.

• Oct. 19 and Nov. 2, 16, 30: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Weatherly Senior Center, 335 Third St., Weatherly.

• Nov. 9, 23 and Dec. 7: 9 a.m. to noon, Panther Valley Senior Center, 90 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning.

• Oct. 20, 27; Nov. 10, 17 and Dec. 1: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Jim Thorpe/Penn-Kidder Senior Center, 995 Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

• Oct. 27; Nov. 3, 10, 17, 24 and Dec. 1: 9 a.m. to noon, Summit Hill Heritage Center, 1 W. Hazard St., Summit Hill.

• Oct. 21, 28; Nov. 4, 18 and Dec. 2: 10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Palmerton Library, 402 Delaware Ave., Palmerton.

• Oct. 22, 29; Nov. 5, 12, 19 and Dec. 3: 9 a.m. to noon, Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford.

PA Medicare Education and Decision Insight program is a free health insurance counseling program designed to help older Pennsylvanians with understanding and making changes to Medicare health plans during the annual enrollment period.
