33rd annual Lehigh Township Benefit & Car Show scheduled

A time-honored auto show that raises proceeds to help chronically and terminally ill children have their dreams come true is ready to take its next lap.

The 33rd annual Lehigh Township Benefit Festival & Car Show will be held Sunday at Becky’s Drive-In along Route 248 in Walnutport. The rain date is Oct. 10.

Hosted by the Lehigh Township Lions Club, the car show will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 200 cars preregistered.

Awards will be given out at 3 p.m. on Screen 2, where the car show is located. Car show awards will not be judged, and there will be eight trophies handed out.

Car show preregistration is $15, or $20 the day of the show from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Large Flowerheads will perform in front of Screen 1 from noon to 3 p.m.

Donations are accepted at the gate upon arrival to the benefit.

Since 1989, the benefit festival has raised over $350,000 for Dream Come True.
