The Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks are excited to announce their next big park fundraiser, the Bark in the Park.
Taking place Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at Locust Lake State Park, the event will be a tail-wagging good time, with a ton of special activities booked for human and canine alike.
Planned events include dog friendly vendors, food trucks for humans, demonstrations, pet photographer, educational programs, low-cost pet microchipping, dog walk, silent auction with items up to $300 in value, and door prize of an Apple AirTag.
The named sponsor is Fairway Subaru of Hazleton, because October is #SubaruLovesPets month.
The event is free of charge, family-friendly, and, of course, leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome.
All proceeds go to the Friends of Tuscarora and Locust Lake State Parks to support their mission to inspire stewardship and to sustain and enhance Pennsylvania’s state parks and forests.
Donations, sponsorships and vendors are still needed for this event. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, contributions and donations to the program are fully tax deductible. Donations can be made at: http://bit.ly/donatetofriendsoftll.
