September 24, 1977 - Jim Agosti carries 26 times for 267 yards and a touchdown to help Marian gain a 20-0 Eastern Conference victory over rival Mahanoy Area. After a scoreless first half, the Colts get on the board in the third quarter with Joe Snisky’s blocked punt leading to an 11-yard TD run by Jim McCullian. On Marian’s next possession, Agosti breaks free for an 85-yard tally to extend the lead. The Colts, coached by Stan (Dakosty) Dick, add some insurance in the final frame. Mark Subsinsky recovers a Mahanoy fumble, and 12 plays later Jim Bumbulsky powers into the end zone from three yards out.
