Macenka opens the scoring on a 9-yard run in the first quarter, and the Nesquers tally again in the second frame when a 21-yard pass from Ron Kinek to Ed Kocha sets up Kinek’s 2-yard TD. The winners, coached by Tony Mezza, put the game out of reach with three scores in the final period. Macenka reaches the end zone from four yards out, while Kusko scores on a 13-yard run and tosses a 30-yard TD pass to Kocha.
