Monroe County commissioners

The Monroe County Commissioners recently acted on the following items:

• A Disaster Declaration was adopted so the Monroe County Commissioners can move forward on the cleaning up and repair damage from the flooding caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ida.

The adoption will open a forum to allow the commissioners to discuss their ideas on how to move forward to help Monroe County residents and businesses to restore their property damaged in the hurricane.

• The Emergency Solutions Grant CARES Sub-recipient Grant Contracts were executed: Family Promise - Emergency Shelter $151,620; Family Promise - Rapid Rehousing $304,000; Promise - Homeless Prevention $85,512; Family Promise - Administration; $32,468; Woman’s Resources - Emergency Shelter $77,000; Woman’s Resources - Administration $4,620.

• Added 51 new vendors to the list of approved vendors for Monroe County Children & Youth Services for the period on July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022:

• Approved vendor contracts for The Institute for Human Resources and Services Inc. $50,000; Shannon Hilbert, LSW $3,000; Pinebrook Family Answers $30,000; Bethany Christian Services of the Greater Delaware Valley $75,000 and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health $200,000.

• Additional hours were approved for the Sheriff’s Office for the period ending Aug. 29: Deputies, 225.75 hours; clerks, 3.50 hours and security, 17.50 hours

• Capital Outlay: Purchases for Sept. 9, totaling $17,430.24 was approved.
