A man died in a crash Saturday on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.

State Police at Frackville said an unidentified man from Greenwood, Indiana, who was the passenger in a tractor-trailer driven by Satnam Singh, 24, of South Richmond, New York, was the victim.

The 5:09 p.m. crash at mile marker 137.7 took place as Singh was driving on the southbound on ramp to I-81 from Route 309 when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve.

The vehicle struck the guide rail on the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned, landing on its passenger side. Singh suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.

The McAdoo Fire Company Ambulance Association responded.
