Daniel and Ralph Cipko, Lansford natives, announced a $15,000 gift to the Lansford Improvement Committee for the purchase of a gazebo to be erected in Kennedy Park in the borough.

The Cipkos, who have been known for their philanthropic generosity, made the presentation in memory of Robert Leibensperger, who with wife Irma operated the Daily Catch seafood store in Lansford before his passing. Daniel Cipko pointed out it was a wish of Bob Leibensperger for the park to have a gazebo.

Present for the announcement were Irma, vice president of the committee, Diane Leonzi, its president, and Bob Silver and Pat Haughton, treasurer and secretary, respectively.
