Woman found not guilty in drug case

A Tamaqua woman was found not guilty Thursday of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia July 30, 2020, in the borough.

Schuylkill County Common Pleas Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin presided over the case in courtroom number 1.

Tamaqua Police officer Ryan Oldt charged Angela Wagner, 58, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for the incident. Oldt responded to the 200 block of Pine Street for a female burning items in her yard. Upon arrival, he found Oldt and “could tell she was under the influence of methamphetamine,” according to the affidavit.

On a fence he found a flower holder which had a pack of cigarettes, a black phone and a “clear bag with crystal rocklike substance,” court documents show.

She admitted the items were hers, the document states.
