Bishop Joseph McShea of the Diocese of Allentown has announced the appointment of the Rev. Thomas E. Hoban as director of the Priests’ Eucharistic League of the diocese.

Father Hoban has been serving as the administrator of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Lansford, since March 1972, and will continue in that capacity.

Previously, he was assigned as an assistant pastor at SS. Simon and Jude Parish, Bethlehem; St. Joseph Parish, Reading; Notre Dame of Bethlehem Parish; and St. Peter Parish, Coplay; and St. Ambrose Parish, Schuylkill Haven.

A native of Philadelphia, he studied for the priesthood at St. Charles Seminary, Overbrook, and was ordained in 1960.
