Lehighton’s “Swish Cheese” eighth grade girls recently competed in the Boardwalk Ballers 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Morey’s Pier in Wildwood, New Jersey. A total of eight teams participated in the event. The cagers of Swish Cheese 1 were crowned as champions and defended their 2019 championship. Their closest challenge came from Swish Cheese 2 in an 8-7 final score. Swish Cheese is coached by Sean Monk. Members of the team include, Ryleigh Trotman, Sadie Monk, Olivia Serfass, and Leah Uyvari from Swish Cheese 1, and Hailey Heimbach, Charlotte Doll, Courtney Connell, and Morgan Shaffer from Swish Cheese 2.
