Franklin Fire Co. donates clothing to SS. Peter & Paul clothing drive

The Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company held its yard sale over the weekend and donated the remaining clothing items to SS. Peter & Paul Church in Lehighton.

There were 11 tables piled high with clothing, shoes and accessories. Volunteers from the church bagged all the items and transported them to the church.

Each summer, SS. Peter & Paul collects clothing, shoes, accessories and some other items, which are given to a company which then pays the church by the pound for all the donations. The money is used for the various needs of the parish, such as the new roof on the church and a newly reconstructed front porch on the rectory.
