Some low-lying roads are covered with water and basements are flooded after tropical storm Henri dumped up to 6 inches throughout the region.
Some closures reported:
Carbon County
• Lower Towamensing Township, flooding on Lower Smith Gap Road, both directions in the area of Eastern Industries.
• Country Club Road in Mahoning Township
• Flooding on Route 895 in East Penn Township, both directions between Lauchnor Road and Germans Road. All lanes closed.
• Tannery Rd / South River St / River Rd between Route 534 and Bridge Street in Kidder Township. All lanes closed.
Monroe County
• Polk Township: Flooding on Silver Spring Boulevard both directions between Mountain View Road and Route 209. All lanes closed.
• Polk Township: Flooding on Fiddletown Rd / Weir Mountain Rd / Gilbert Rd both directions between Old Stagecoach Rd and Route 209. All lanes closed.
• Polk Township:Flooding on Mill Pond Rd / Fairground Rd both directions at Route 209. All lanes closed.
• Chestnuthill Township: Meadowlake Road at Route 115 and Pheasant Run Road between High Hill Road and Hill Run Road closed due to storm damage.
