Kemmerer graduates from Bloomsburg

Zachary Kemmerer, son of Fred Kemmerer Jr. and Tammy (Blocker) Hollenbaugh successfully earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bloomsburg University.

Zachary is a 2016 Lehighton Area High School graduate. Academically, Zachary was a member of FBLA and National Honor Society. Athletically, he was a four-year varsity wrestler, achieving over 100 wins and four district medals.

Zachary continued his academic success into his secondary education. Zachary finished with the academic honor distinction cum laude with a cumulative 3.6 GPA, making dean’s list 80% of semesters.

While at Bloomsburg, he became a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. The National Political Science Honor Society is the only honor society for college and university students of political and social sciences in the United States.

He also achieved multiple awards in his four years at Bloomsburg University. In 2020, he won the Prateek Goorha award for the best research paper in political science at Bloomsburg. In 2021, he received the Gloria Cohen-Dion award for demonstrating outstanding leadership skills in the political science department.

Zachary plans on continuing his education by attending law school, pursuing a career in lobbying or contract law.
