Coaldale Volunteer Fire Co. announces parade route for Sept. 11

Coaldale Borough Councilwoman Anne Girard presented a letter at the August Borough Council meeting from Steven Polischak, fire chief of the Coaldale Volunteer Fire Company.

The Coaldale Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting its annual Apparatus Parade on Sept. 11 to celebrate the dedication of its 1994 Seagrave Pumper and to go along with the community at the Coal Cracking Rock the Block.

Lineup and judging of the parade will begin at 4 p.m. on the 100 block of West High Street and the 200 block of Sixth Street. The parade will begin promptly at 6 p.m. The 100 block of West High Street and the 200 block of Sixth Street will be closed that day for fire apparatus parking.

The planned parade route:

Start at the 100 block of West High Street, down West High Street, left on East Street, left on East Phillips Street and go through business district.

Left on Third Street, past the Borough Hall, right on East High Street, right on Fourth Street, left on West Ruddle Street, left on Fifth Street, right on West Phillip Street down Klines Hill, past St Luke’s, right on Bull Run Street.

Cross Route 209 and continue on Greenwood Street, left on West Water Street (also Route 209), right on Bull Run Street, up Klines Hill, past St Luke’s.

Straight past Seventh Street onto West Phillips Street, right on Sixth Street, left on High Street, ending at the firehouse.
