The Palmerton swim team presented checks to local fire departments at the swim team’s banquet. The four departments and their representatives were Aleks Everett from Aquashicola Fire Company, Dennis Behler from Palmerton Municipal Fire Company, Michael Spairana from Bowmanstown Fire Company, and Gary Anthony from Towamensing Township Fire Company. Each department received $500.

Swimmers include Kyan Block, Calianna Smale, Grace Krause, Lily Miller, Eva Durigon, Samantha Gordon, and Isabella Stroup, Alexis Hess, Julia Blose, and Tyla Block.

The kids were each recognized for the total laps they completed in the challenge. Awards were given for highest total per age group and most money collected.

• 8 and under girls Eva Durigon, 84 laps

• 10 and under girls Kylee Dietterich, 300 laps

• 12 and under girls Lily Miller, 148 laps

• 12 and under boys Kyan Block, 400 laps

• 14 and under girls Tyla Block, 160 laps

• 15 and over girls Julia Blose, 300 laps
