State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents:

• On Aug. 8 at 3:08 p.m. troopers responded to a residence along Scenic Drive in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a report of a disturbance. It was learned that an incident of harassment occurred in which Marisol Russo, 51, of Kunkletown, verbally threatened a 52-year-old woman from Stroudsburg.

As a result Russo was charged with harassment - no legitimate purpose.

• On July 24 at 4:08 p.m. a traffic stop of a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt was conducted at Route 248 and Union Hill Road in Franklin Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation. As a result the 18-year-old male driver from Palmerton, who troopers declined to identify, was found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed.

• On Aug. 12 at 1:08 a.m. troopers observed a disabled vehicle along Silver Spring Boulevard at Kunkletown Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County. Upon making contact with the driver, a 41-year-old woman from Lehighton, she reported she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, who then fled the scene. The woman sustained apparent minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

As a result charges of assault and related offenses were prepared for a 49-year-old man from Kunkletown, who troopers declined to identify.

• Police reported troopers responded to a residence along East Railroad Street in Nesquehoning at 10:50 p.m. on July 31 for a inactive domestic dispute. Troopers said it was determined that a 39-year-old woman had struck a 38-year-old male. The woman was cited for harassment - physical contact. Troopers declined to identify the suspect.
