CCTI

The Carbon Career & Technical Institute Joint Operating Committee held a special meeting Aug. 4.

Mostly personnel matters were discussed, all which were approved by the committee.

Principal Brent Borzak briefly spoke about Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and answered a question about wearing masks at CCTI.

“As far as the masks, I know with our students, at this point it is optional. I would say it’s optional for anyone at this time,” Borzak said. “Transportation - I know the school districts are going to make them (wear masks). At this point, that’s what the current suggestions are. I was on the phone with one of the bus companies this morning, and they’ll be making them wear them on the bus. That’s something that could change daily, we’ll see what happens by Aug. 19.”
