State police at Fern Ridge report on the following crashes:
• Shaun A. Hineline, 38, of Blakeslee, was cited by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks with following too closely after a mishap at 4:20 p.m. July 9 at the intersection of Route 115 and Mountain Laurel Drive in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said he was driving a 2007 Hyndai Elantra southbound on Rt. 115, and was following a 2011 Lexus operated by Ruslana Pyzh, 35, of Brooklyn, New York, too closely when a rear-end collision occurred.
Neither driver was injured.
Police said the Elantra was towed from the scene.
• The driver and five passengers in a 2005 Acura MDX that crashed at 7:36 p.m. July 9 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township escaped injuries, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.
Police said Maria E. Guerrero, 55, of the Bronx, New York, was driving the vehicle westbound when she applied the brakes hard, losing control of the vehicle. She continued to drive off the roadway into a medium and traveled west before striking a ditch.
The vehicle sustained front-end damages and was towed from the scene.
Police said Guerrero was cited for the incident.
