Lehighton Borough Council took the following action on Monday:

• Purchased a new meter tester in the amount of $12,689 for the borough’s Light & Power Department.

• Approved a resolution establishing the current base purchased power cost.

• Announced that for a second time, no bids were received for the Sgt. Stanley Hoffman Boulevard Parking Lot project.

• Authorized the borough’s Public Works Department to remove excessive growth at property located at 136 N. Second St.

• Approved the annual per capita contribution payment in the amount of $1,100 to the Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission.
