Andrew Masscotte, 26, of Tamaqua, is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Police conducted a traffic stop at 11:49 p.m. July 10 at the intersection of Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East and Forge and Allen streets in Lehighton.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was driving a 2012 Mazda MX 6 when he was stopped for vehicle code violations, after which time police determined he was driving under the influence.
