Monroe County Commissioners report

Monroe County Commissioners approved the following items recently:

• Approved a Domestic Relations request for Rachel Van Horn to travel to Harrisburg, from July 14 through July 16 to attend the Quarterly PACSES Advisory Committee and Board Meeting.

• Approved Penn State Extension’s travel request for Sherri Williams and Paula Schwenck to attend the Plainfield Riding Center on Aug. 7 (Aug. 8, rain date) Monroe County 4-H Horse and Pony Round-up.

• Monroe County Children & Youth Services executed the following Purchase of Service Agreements for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022: Adelphoi Village Inc. - $600,000, The Bair Foundation of PA - $17,000; Concern Professional Services for Children, Youth and Families - $200,000; Forensic Counseling Associates, LLC - $20,000; Luftus-Vegari & Associates - $30,000; Justice Works YouthCare - $500,000; Cornell Abraxas Group, LLC - $850,000; PA Treatment & Healing - $320,000.

• The board approved the following contracts to repair the sludge tank and Decant Tank at the Sewage Treatment Plant in Snydersville: Shields Welding, LLC. - Sludge Tank for a bid of $31,500. - Decant Tank for the bid of $26,000.

• An agreement from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31, 2022 in the amount of $5.50 per employee per month to provide telemedicine services to county employees.

• Agreement with Maximus US Services Inc., for two years effective Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, 2023, in the total amount of $17,300 to provide the county with an annual cost allocation plan.

• Reappointed Richard Snyder to another term on the Monroe County Agricultural Land Preservation Board through Dec. 12, 2022.

• Approved submission of the 2021-2022 Human Services Plan in the amount of $143,699 as follows. The Pennsylvania Healthcare Assistance Program, $50,192 and the Pennsylvania Human Services Development Fund, $93,507.

• The Monroe County Conservation District has accept the resignation of Patrick Ross from the Conservation District board of directors.

• Monroe County Transportation Authority has appointed Mary Claire Megargle to the board of directors with a term to expire Sept. 30, 2026.
