Nesquehoning council again has a full board.
On Wednesday, borough council voted to approve the appointment of Bruce Nalesnik to fill the vacancy on the board. Former Councilman George Sabol III resigned from council earlier this month after being censured in June.
Nalesnik’s appointment expires at the end of the year. The remaining two-year term will be placed on the General Election ballot.
Nalesnik, who was not at the meeting, has served in the community for years, formerly as the Carbon County coroner and as a funeral director in town.
He is a United States Navy veteran, a graduate of Tidewater College and Northampton County Community College and a member of the Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008.
