Fourteen defendants in pending driving under the influence cases were placed Friday in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year.

Loretta June Dufour, 59, of Piscataway, New Jersey, was arrested on Nov. 1, 2020, by state police at Fern Ridge along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township for DUI of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 for the cost of the program and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Darlene L. Seider, 65, of Philadelphia, was arrested on March 29, along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.13 blood alcohol content.

She was assessed $500 and license suspended for 30 days.

Joseph Raymond Shea, 33, of Wilmington, Delaware, was arrested on March 12 by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township. He refused a test.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Christina E. Weedo, 37, of Bartonsville, was arrested on Feb. 6 by state police at Fern Ridge along Route 534 in Penn Forest Township. A test revealed a 0.26 BAC.

She was assessed $500 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

James Baddick, 58, of Coaldale, was arrested on Feb. 13 by state police at Lehighton along Route 248 at Parryville. A test revealed a 0.24 BAC.

He was assessed $550 and license suspended for 60 days.

Garrett Grant Dieter, 23, of Palmerton, was arrested on Feb. 26 by state police at Lehighton along Lehigh Avenue in Palmerton. A test revealed a 0.17 BAC.

He was assessed $550 and license suspended for 60 days.

Jamie Lynn Morsching, 40, of Allentown, was arrested on Feb. 26 by state police at Lehighton along Fireline Road in Lower Towamensing Township, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Adam Robert Hosking, 26, of Danielsville, was arrested on March 28 by Nesquehoning police along East Catawissa Street. He refused a test.

He was assessed $600, license suspended for 60 days and must make restitution of $250 to the victim. His vehicle struck a parked car.

Zachary Daniel Lettich, 22, of Tamaqua, was arrested on March 8 by state police at Lehighton along Route 443 in Mahoning Township, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

John William Mackner, 34, of Coaldale, was arrested on Feb. 15, by state police at Lehighton along Mill Road in Mahoning Township, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Erlando P. Williams, 31, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested on Sept. 4, 2020, by state police at Lehighton, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Michael J. Harris, 61, of Lehighton, was arrested on Sept. 28, 2020, by state police at Lehighton along Hemlock Street in Towamensing Township. A test revealed a 0.14 BAC.

He was assessed $500 and license suspended for 30 days.

Catherine A. Kates, 51, of Lehighton, was arrested on Jan. 21 by state police at Lehighton along Lincoln Avenue in Bowmanstown, for DUI of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Kenneth J. Kitts, 33, of Weatherly, was arrested on March 1 by Weatherly police along Carbon Street, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $600 and license suspended for 60 days.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program and follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
