State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:

• On July 12 at 8:44 a.m. troopers received a report of a theft from a residence along Regency Lane in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The 52-year-old woman from Brodheadsville, reported that she had been scammed after attempting to purchase a dog over the internet. The dog was offered for sale from a company called, “Extreme Pedigree Poodles.”

She forwarded $1,350 via Zelle.com to someone named “Mapalo.” The victim received no response from the seller since making the purchase.

• On July 7 at 7:41 p.m. a man stole a T-shirt form the Family Dollar Store, along Route 209, in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said they are working on identifying the suspect.

• Three people, a 53-year-old man from Kunkletown; a 22-year-old man from Saylorsburg; and a 65-year-old woman from Effort, all reported unauthorized transactions on their credit/debit cards.

• A 53-year-old woman from Buckhill Road in Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, reported two rings that were stolen from her home were pawned in New Jersey. Troopers said the case remains open.

• A 52-year-old man from Kunkletown, reported on July 17 at 6:02 p.m. that his unlocked 2015 Lexus was entered while he was in the Turkey Hill store along Route 209 in Gilbert, Chestnuthill Township. A wallet containing credit cards, driver’s license and a $20 bill were taken.
