Nesquehoning woman charged in connection with crash

A Pottsville woman wanted in connection with a crash in Nesquehoning earlier this year was arrested recently.

Nesquehoning police Chief Sean Smith said Pottsville police stopped Megan Nester, 33, of East Arch Street, on July 13 and held her once it was learned an arrest warrant had been issued in Nesquehoning for a crash in March.

Smith arrived at 3:30 a.m. and took Nester into custody.

Nester faces charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle, careless driving and driving for roadways laned for traffic.

She was arraigned before District Judge William Kissner and released on $5,000 unsecured bail. She faces a preliminary hearing on Aug. 25 before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek.
