The Franklin Township Lions Club recently donated their annual fund raising proceeds to local organizations.
All of the donations came from calendar sales. Due to COVID-19 all other events were canceled for the year 2020.
Seniors also received a $500 scholarship. Recipients for Lehighton High School were: Logan Highland and Ashley Beers. The CCTI student was Kaleb May.
The annual Picnic in the Park will be held on Sept. 19. It will start at noon. Food will be available for sale.
Seniors of Franklin Township will receive a complimentary meal. Seniors may sign-up at township building.
Music will be provided by Dean Hahn and the Hawks. There will be bingo, Chinese Auction and a 50/50 drawing. Bring your lawn chairs.
