SS. Peter & Paul is hosting Backyard Bash

It has been at least eight years since the last block party held at SS Peter & Paul Church, Lehighton. The Backyard Bash, as it is called, will be held Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. both days.

It’s been two years in the planning stages. It was originally scheduled for last year, but, like everything else, it was postponed due to COVID-19.

“Everyone is ready to get out and have fun … I know I’m ready,” festival coordinator Jordan Cook said.

“This is for the whole community … not just our parish, but we welcome everyone to come and have a great time. We hope all of our neighbors and friend will come out and join us.

“I want to offer my extreme gratitude to the volunteers,” Cook said.

“Without them, none of this would happen. Our pastor, Father Zelonis, has been very helpful. People can still volunteer by contacting us by Thursday noon at ssppbyb@gmail.com.”
