A Pottsville firefighter extinguished a car fire on a 2005 Mazda 3 near the Schuylkill County Courthouse Wednesday.

Dave Snowpek, of Pottsville, bought the car as a gift for his daughter. She said the engine was making noise previously. Snowpek was driving the car, which filled up with smoke prompting him to call 911.
