Schuylkill commissioners approved contracts for demolition projects Wednesday.

Properties in Tamaqua, Ashland, Saint Clair, Mahanoy City, Shenandoah, Palo Alto and Port Carbon were approved. Funding for the efforts comes from a mixture of state grant funds and other revenue sources.

The following properties are slated for demolition.

• 307 E. Broad St. owned by the Tamaqua Historical Society and 252 W. Cottage Ave.

• 337-339 W. South St., 523 E. Pine St., 625-627 W. Market St., Mahanoy City

• 212 N. Second St., 311 Broad St., and 102-104 Cherry St. Saint Clair

• 527-529 W. Arlington St., Shenandoah

• 106 Market St., 318 N. Coal St. and 203 Jackson St., Port Carbon

• 420 W. Bacon St. and 254 E. Bacon St., Palo Alto

• 2040 E. Grand Ave., Porter Township.
