American Cancer Society auction, raffle planned

The CancerTelethon.Org’s second summer chance auction/basket raffle is back on July 25.

Hundreds of prizes just like always will be lined up throughout the Lakeside Ballroom in Barnesville. The spacious venue guarantees plenty of space for those to social distance and view all items as well as featured high-value “white ticket” items, additional high-value “red ticket” items, and new this year, a “blue ticket” table with high-value children’s items.

Seating will be available in the ballroom. The winning numbers will also be announced on a radio frequency that guests can listen to from the convenience of car in the ballroom parking lot.

When you hear your number, you can collect your prize or we will contact you by phone so you can pick it up. There are many options to choose from so you, our supporters, feel safe and comfortable.

On July 24, the group welcomes you to stop by the Shop and Drop from 4-8 p.m. The auction on July 25 opens its doors at 11:30 a.m. and the event begins at 2:30 p.m.

Top prizes on the specially purchased “white ticket” (three chances for only $1) include $1,000 cash, Dell Inspiron laptop, fuel oil, lottery tickets, cordless lawn mower, HEPA air purifier, Segway scooter, Nintendo Switch, hover board Scooter, patio propane heater, iRobot Roomba vacuum, baby jogger stroller, gift cards, air conditioner, 65-inch television, and much more. The red table offers a Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach Get Away from Sundance Vacations, a Dewalt Leaf Blower from M&S Hardware, and more.

Noncash payments will be accepted via an online payment application accessible via a QR code. As always, cash is accepted and preferred.

Another convenience this year is that all tickets including major prize white tickets, special prize red tickets, 50/50 tickets and regular prize chance auction tickets are available for purchase online. No matter where you live, you can easily buy in advance and we drop your tickets for you.
