State police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge report on the following incidents:

• A vehicle stop led to three people being charged with drug offenses and active warrants. Troopers said at 9:33 a.m. on June 17 a 2002 Dodge Dakota was stopped at Route 115 and State Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for multiple traffic violations. Criminal activity was suspected, troopers said, and a consent search yielded methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia.

The occupants, identified as Ashley Albarran, 26, and Malvin Meckes, 39, both of Blakeslee; and John Ehrhard, 52, of Effort, had warrants for their arrest. Drug charges were filed.

• On June 16 a 64-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, both from Keats Lane and Wild Glenn, Albrightsville, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, came to the barracks to report being harassed by their neighbor. The two said between March 2 and June 16, the neighbor, identified as Edward Dean, 73, of Albrightsville, would wait for them to walk their dog by him and then allow his dog to advance on their dog. These incidents have gotten progressively worse to the point that the victims’ fear for their safety and their dog.

Troopers filed a harassment charge against Dean.

• On June 21 at 7:40 a.m. troopers were dispatched to the Sunoco Convenient Mart, located at 2205 Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, for an unconscious man seated behind the wheel of a 2011 Chrysler, with the engine running and in reverse. The person making the report said the man had a syringe on his lap.

EMS personnel revived the man using Narcan. The 33-year-old from Saylorsburg, who troopers declined to identify, gave EMS his name. When he heard police were called he left the scene. Multiple syringes and bags of heroin were found in the vehicle. Charges of driving under the influence and drug possession were filed.

• On June 16 at 5:24 a.m. troopers responded to a residence at Parker Trail and Caedman Drive, in Penn Forest Township, for a report of a domestic altercation. The victim, a 65-year-old man from Albrightsville, and another man from Albrightsville, who troopers declined to identify, engaged in a fight. The unidentified man was charged with harassment - physical contact.

• On June 23 at 2:07 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Orchard View Drive in Chestnuthill Township, for a domestic dispute. A 45-year-old man from Effort, was extremely intoxicated and became combative and resisted arrest. The man, who troopers declined to identify, was taken into custody and charged with harassment - physical contact. The victims are a 45-year-old woman and a 12-year-old man, both of Effort.
