Restaurant cited for liquor violations

A Carbon County business has been cited by the state police Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the liquor control board.

The Mansion House at Summit Hill LLC, Ludlow Street, Summit Hill, was cited for during the period of Jan. 1 to May 25, for selling alcoholic beverages without a license after the temporary authority granted the business by the liquor control board had expired on Dec. 31, 2020.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
