State police at Bethlehem reported on the following crashes involving area drivers.
• A three-vehicle crash occurred at 3:48 p.m. on June 25 along Route 22 in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County. Troopers said John F. Page, 68, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2005 Subaru Forester westbound in the left land with Emily Stone, 21, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, driving a 2016 Jeep Compass, behind him, with Monica Paterno, 24, of Califon, New Jersey, driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, was westbound behind Stone.
Page came to a stop due to traffic ahead of her with Stone starting to slow down. Paterno did not see the slowing vehicles with the front of her Elantra hitting the rear of Stone’s Compass pushing it into the rear of Page’s Subaru. Paterno sustained a suspected minor injury and was treated at the scene. No one else was injured. The Elantra had to be towed.
Troopers cited Paterno for following too closely.
• A three-vehicle crash was reported on June 3 at 3:23 p.m. along Route 22 in Whitehall, Lehigh County. Troopers said Heather V. Potthoff, 42, of Allentown, driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado truck, and Meeta S. Pancholi, 51, of Lehighton, driving a 2016 Cadillac Escalade, was behind her both eastbound, with Tieser Lisaann, 61, of Allentown, driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, also eastbound. Potthoff stopped for traffic ahead of her and Lisaann was unable to stop in time with the front of her vehicle hitting the rear of Pancholi’s vehicle pushing it into the rear of Potthoff’s vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
