The Palmerton Memorial Park Association will honor military personnel Saturday through Monday.
Reduced admission will be provided to any active member of a branch of the armed forces or a veteran.
In addition, the PMPA will also conduct a collection for the Valor Clinic Foundation at that time.
Items being collected include clothing (new or used), such as men’s jeans (clean and not torn), all sizes but especially sizes 32-36; hiking boots in good condition, and gloves.
Also being collected are food items good through the holidays such as brown rice, stuffing, cake mix and icing, cranberry sauce, pie filling, and V8 Juice (individual serving sizes).
Toiletries such as deodorant (men’s and women’s), Q-tips, and shaving cream (men’s and women’s) are also being collected.
Every donated, acceptable item will result in an entry into a raffle for one adult season membership good for this season or 2022.
Those who donate are asked to include their name and phone number with donations that can be dropped off at the pool office.
The drawing will take place around 4 p.m. Monday. Individuals need not be present to win.
