July 3, 1993 - Panther Valley’s Brad Miller and Northern Lehigh’s Tricia Treskot are named the Times News Male and Female Athletes of the Year for the 1992-93 school year. Miller participated in football, basketball and track. He caught 70 passes for 958 yard and 12 touchdowns on the gridiron and added 433 rushing yards and 10 scores. In basketball, he averaged over seven points a game, while on the track he earned three gold medals at the Schuylkill League meet, a gold and silver at districts, and third and seventh-place finishes at states. Treskot, meanwhile, averaged 14.3 points per game and hit 77 three-pointers on the basketball court in wrapping up her career with 1,209 points. In softball, she hit .392 to help the Bulldogs win a district title. She also knocked in 28 runs and scored 22 times.
