Carbon County Area Agency on Aging will host a free Medicare session through the PA Medi program, formerly APPRISE.

There will be two sessions on July 19 at the Lehighton Recreation/Senior Center, 243 S. Eighth St., Lehighton. Sessions are from 3-4:30 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m.

During the session, you will receive information on understanding Medicare and its parts; how and when to enroll; choosing the right health coverage and prescription drug coverage; avoiding penalties; supplemental insurance policies and more.
