State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft of tools the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation site.

Items taken from the PennDOT facility along Bridge Street in Lehighton included an orange Stihl chainsaw, valued at $200; and a Dewalt 72-inch level, valued at $50.

The theft was reported on Tuesday at 1:46 p.m.
