Schuylkill approves logistics center agreement

Schuylkill County Commissioners Wednesday approved an agreement needed for an approximately 2.4 million-square-foot logistics center in Frailey and Tremont Township.

The developer and escrow agreement is for the Rausch Creek Logistic Center along Interstate 81 and near exit 107.

Schuylkill County Planning Director Susan Smith said the plan calls for two warehouses. She said “90 percent of the development is in Frailey Township.” East Franklin Road in Tremont Township will be realigned, she said.

The county planning commission approved the subdivision plans April 24.

Building one is proposed to have 321 trailer storage spaces, 253 dock doors and 503 employee parking spaces. The second 230, 177 and 380 of the aforementioned respectively.
