Higgins opens the game’s scoring with an RBI triple and delivers a run-scoring single in the fourth frame. Marty Marek goes the distance on the mound, scattering just six hits in the nine-inning contest. Joe Pancoe finishes with two hits and scores a run, while Eddie Becker adds a pair of hits - one of them a triple. The winners also receive a hit and run from Harry Becker.
