Dignitaries from area Lions Clubs and the International Lions were on hand to see the Summit Hill Lions Club get off on the right foot during a Charter Day celebration held Sunday at the Viennese Villa, Coaldale.

District Governor-Elect Robert O. Rarick presided at the induction ceremony in which charter members of the club were welcomed into Lionism.

Rarick and Lions International director Carl Battistone praised the work done by the Summit Hill club’s president Jerome Rhodunda is forming the club, with the latter saying, “I’ve been told of all the work that Jerome has done to bring this about. The Lions need five more like him.”
