Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on June 17 at the Coaldale Complex with 29 members in attendance. The president opened the meeting with the reading “God Walks With Us.”

Jane Tartar was added to the Memorial list of members that passed in 2019.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 or older is invited to attend.

Diaper Depot

Diaper Depot, the free diaper ministry at Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua, is accepting new clients for its July 17 distribution.

You must be a resident of the Tamaqua Area School District and make a request at www.ziontamaqua.com by July 2. You will be given an appointment time for the July 17 distribution.

The first time you pick up diapers, you must present a birth certificate for the child or children and some type of proof of residence.

Diaper Depot is a community pantry of the Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Ralph Saunders will present the message at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle. Sunday school classes are scheduled from 9:15 a.m. There will be no Sunday or Wednesday evening services this week due to the Auburn Camp Meeting, scheduled for June 25-July 4. Monday-Saturday services are held at 7 p.m., Sunday at 6 p.m. at 629 S. Third St., Auburn.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church, Lewistown Valley.

American Primitive

Sunday worship service at 10:30 a.m. at American Primitive Methodist Church. Service available at www.tamaquachurch.org and www.facebook.com/PMChurchTamaqua. There will be no Sunday school until further notice.
